Several Vehicle Break-ins Reported in Grant Park

Grant Park Security Patrol advises residents to be looking for a black Ford Ranger with Georgia license plate No. AHR 4358.

GRANT PARK — The Grant Park Security Patrol (GPSP) reported Wednesday about a rash of recent vehicle break-ins in the area. The following from GPSP has been edited for publication:

A Grant Park resident happened to look out his window early [Wednesday] morning and observed a black Ford truck pull up behind a neighbor's car. The driver in the truck got out and went into that neighbor's car. The suspect is a black male, about 6-foot tall and his late 30s or early 40s. This is a similar description from the burglary attempt last Friday.

The witness was able to get the tag number and it is the same truck used in the burglary attempt last week.

Tag number AHR 4358, black Ford Ranger.

Including this incident, we have three reports from cars rummaged through this morning: Ormond at Grant; Kendrick at Grant; Boulevard at Delmar.

GPSP officers are here at various hours every day and we'll have some additional early morning patrols for the next few weeks. It's important that we call 911 so our officers can respond quickly.
