Police Seek Identity of East Atlanta Carjackers

EAST ATLANTA — Atlanta police seek the public's help in identifying the carjackers who stole a man's car and iPhone at the Chevron gas station on Nov. 3.

The incident occurred at about 1 a.m. at the filling station, which is located at 1981 Flat Shoals Road.

Police gave the following account:

The victim attempted to purchase gasoline for his 2004 Gold Buick Century, however, he was approached by an armed black male with dreadlocks wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and gray sweatpants who demanded his vehicle. The victim complied and his vehicle and Iphone were stolen. A second suspect exited a small blue sedan and jumped into the passenger seat of the victim’s vehicle as it fled down Fayetteville Road followed by the blue sedan.  

Any information on the case can be submitted anonymously to the Crime Stoppers Atlanta tip line at 404-577-TIPS (8477), online www.crimestoppersatlanta.org or by texting CSA and the tip to CRIMES (274637). Persons do not have to give their name or any identifying information to be eligible for the reward of up to $2,000 for the arrest and indictment of the suspects.
