Police Search for Gunmen in Inman Park Home Invasion

INMAN PARK — Atlanta police are looking for a trio of armed gunmen who forced their way into a DeKalb Avenue apartment early Thursday and robbed the residents.

The male victim told police he was in the living room watching television at about 12:13 a.m. when he heard the front door being forced open to the apartment in DeKalb's 900 block.

He rain upstairs to the bedroom where his girlfriend was asleep as the gunmen followed him.

As the gunmen tried to break through the bedroom door, the girlfriend ran and hid in the bathroom.

But robbers forced their way into the bedroom and the gunman held the couple at gunpoint, while the other two ransacked the home.

The robbers stole a television, two laptops, two iPads, $50 in cash and the couple's debit cards.

The couple told police they didn't see their assailants' faces, but they could identify them by their voices. They also said the man who held them at gunpoint wore army fatigue pants.
