Police Nab Four In Little Five Points Area Robberies

Suspects linked to six armed hold-ups

Atlanta police arrested four men believed to be behind a string of armed robberies in Little Five Points between Oct. 1st through the 4th.

The four men, whom police did not identify because the investigation is ongoing, were charged with armed robbery followin their arrest Wednesday night in Little Five Points.

Police said the four were picked up in a silver Mazda 6 after officers saw the vehicle driving slowly through the area, headlights off. When arrested, police found a a shotgun, ski mask and gloves.

"We are extremely happy and relieved that these dangerous criminals have been taken off of the street thanks to the swift and decisive action of the APD," Greg Scott, public safety vice president for the Inman Park Neighborhood Association, told East Atlanta Patch.

  • Monday, Oct. 3 - A woman locked out of her car on Edgewood Avenue was on the phone when she said two black men approached her, wearing hoodies and bandannas at about 10:40 p.m. Armed with a silver handgun, they took her purse and phone and ran toward Hurt Street.
  • About 15 minutes later, a man at the intersection of Moreland and Euclid avenues was on his mobile phone when he was approached by two men similarly disguised and armed. They took his wallet and phone and ran to a silver vehicle.
  • Tuesday, Oct. 4 - At 11:50 p.m., a couple was walking toward their vehicle on Seminole Avenue, near the Moreland Avenue intersection, when three black men approached, all wearing hoodies and armed with a silver handgun. The couple in that incident managed to get into their vehicle and escape.
