Non-Fatal Shooting Near Coan Park

Exercise caution in wake of crime spike at SE Atlanta parks and fields.

Please exercise caution if you are using , the Woodbine PATH, Gilliam Park or Arizona Avenue Field. There has been a sharp spike in crime along that axis including a non-fatal shooting (Coan Park) and pedestrian robbery (Atlanta Youth Soccer Association's Arizona Avenue Field) last week.

This week there were robberies and multiple auto thefts from a group of Trees Atlanta employees (Coan Park) and repeated vandalism (Gilliam Park and Arizona Fields) this week.

The only description I have at this point is that it is a loose group of 14- to 16-year-old black males. I will post additional details as I receive them.

Atlanta's parks department and AYSA are working with the to increase security in that area and more visible patrols should follow shortly.

If you see ANYTHING illegal or suspicious in that area please call 911 IMMEDIATELY. Posting it on the website is not the same.

We spotted her last night (Thursday) just before the storm hit and chased her down May to CliftonRead More then up to Glenwood, where we think she turned into that development under construction across from the school. The storm swept in, and we lost her ... she was clearly panicked. Been back on the hunt this morning with no sign. Please call or text us at 423-653-5636 if you spot her!!!
