May Crime In EAV Falls 13 Percent Year-To-Date
But larcenies and burglaries up slightly
A total of 33 crimes were reported in May, equaling the number reported last year, but it was 11 more than what was reported in April, according to the East Atlanta Security Patrol's monthly assessment.
There were nine larcenies reported in the month, compared with the seven reported for the same month last year and four in April.
Residential burglaries saw an uptick as well, with 10 such crimes being reported to police vs. 8 in April and 7 in May of last year.
