UPDATED: Macon Man Struck, Killed on Downtown Connector

SWEET AUBURN DISTRICT — A man walking across several southbound lanes of the Downtown Connector was killed by a motorist who struck him Tuesday.

Marco Duron Jackson, of Macon, was struck at about 12:24 p.m. near the Edgewood Avenue exit, Franka Young, a spokeswoman with the Georgia State Patrol, said.

A Hyundai struck the 39-year-old, who ended up in another lane and in the path of an oncoming Lincoln Town Car.
