Man Robbed at Gunpoint on Stokeswood Avenue

Victim was walking when two men pounced and robbed him.

Police are investigating an overnight robbery that occurred May 19, in which two armed gunmen took the victim's wallet and iPhone.

The victim told police he was walking up Stokeswood at 12:33 a.m. when two men, armed with a handgun, approached in the 600 block of Stokeswood.

They demanded his wallet, which he gave over, as well as his iPhone.

The gunmen jumped into a vehicle and drove down Stokeswood.

No detailed description of the getaway vehicle or the suspects was immediately available.

It also isn't clear if this armed robbery is connected to the shooting Friday in Grant Park, the dead man found Saturday in East Atlanta or a reported armed robbery in Glenwood Park Sunday night.

An Atlanta Police Department spokesman said investigators are looking to see if the incidents are connected.
