Laptop Theft At Little Five Points Starbucks

Thieves fled in a red Chrysler and robbed someone else at San Francisco Coffee Roasting Co. in Candler Park.

Atlanta police are looking for two men involved in the snatch-n-run laptop theft at the Little Five Points Starbucks at about 12:30 p.m. Monday.

The two also are wanted in connection with another snatch-n-run of a laptop at the San Francisco Coffee Roasting Co. in Candler Park moments later.

In the Starbucks case at 506 Moreland Ave. NE, a witness said the two men got out of a red Chrysler and entered the coffee shop.

The driver stood at the door with his hand in his pocket, while his accomplice when to the counter.

Police said he made a quick turn toward the victim, who was taking a nap. The accomplice went to where he was napping and slowly unplugged the victim's laptop and ran out the door.

The two jumped into the Chrysler with license plate number BTU3949 and fled. The plate number came back as being stolen.

Both men are black with the thief who took the laptop being described as thin, wearing a ball cap and a white tank top.

As police were taking reports at the Starbucks, another report of a snatch-n-run was called at the San Francisco Coffee at 1660 DeKalb Ave.

The description of those thieves matched the ones wanted in the Starbucks case.

A citywide alert has been issued for the red Chrysler.

Seriously? Taking a nap? Sounds like this guy needed more coffee. I don't feel bad for him at all.
