Georgia State Students on Alert After Two Robberies

Incidents occurred on Oct 26.

The Georgia State University Police issued the following crime alerts:

Auburn Avenue
10/26/12 8:36 p.m.:

A Robbery by Force was reported to Georgia State University Police, on Friday, Oct. 26, 2012. A GSU student reported while walking with her friends, she was approached by three unknown individuals who snatched a GSU issued I-Pad from her hand.

The suspects were described as black males, approximately 5’7” tall and wearing dark colored t-shirt and pants.

An Armed Robbery was reported to Georgia State University Police, on Friday, Oct. 26, 2012. A GSU student reported while under the bridge of I-75/85, he was approached by an unknown individual who pointed what appeared to be a gun in the small of his back and asked him for his wallet.

The suspect is described as a light-complected black male, in his early 20s, approximately 6 feet tall with a slender build, wearing a black hooded shirt and black track pants.
