Fulton County Animal Services said Tuesday it captured one of the dogs it has been searching for in two separate attacks on kids.
The captured dog, an American Pit Bull Terrier, was taken in the vicinity of Buck Creek Drive in Fairburn, the agency said.
It was involved in an attack of a 13-year-old resident on Oct. 7 which was unrelated to the attack on the 16-year-old Carver High School student in Historic South Atlanta.
The pit bull was examined by a veterinarian and witnesses identified the dog as the 13-year-old's attacker.
Animal Services continues to patrol the area of the incident involving the 16 year old Carver High School student. Traps are also still in place and being monitored.
Animal Services asks citizens to report any stray dogs in the area. Under no circumstances should residents approach these animals if they encounter them.
