EAV Weekly Crime Report

Week ended May 28 marked by burglaries

Burglaries seemed to be the crime of choice last week, according to the East Atlanta Security Patrol.

The EASP, which coordinates neighborhood crime watch activities and hires off-duty Atlanta police for supplemental patrols, reported four residential burglaries in addition to an attempted robbery at the Burger King at 1130 Moreland Ave. SE:

  • May 21 - Two burglaries in the 1500 block of McPherson Avenue SE and one break-in and burglary of a vacant home in the 1700 block of Piper Circle SE.
  • May 23 - Burglary reported  in the 1200 block of Portland Avenue SE.

As always, if you notice anything unusual or think someone is behaving suspiciously, call 911 (East Atlanta Village falls in beat 610 of the Atlanta Police Department's Zone 6). Also call EASP at 404-954-1568 or email to easp610@gmail.com.
