East Atlanta Village Crime Report: September
Overall crime down 30 percent from last year
While there was a slight increase in the total number of reported auto thefts in September, overall crime for the East Atlanta Village neighborhood fell 30 percent compared with the same period last year.
A total of 33 crimes were reported in September, according to the East Atlanta Security Patrol.
That's down from the 47 reported in September of last year and the 41 reported in August of this year.

Residential burglaries showed the biggest drop, with nine reported home break-ins, compared with 15 for the same period last year and 11 in August of this month.
But auto thefts increased to seven in September, compared with the five reported last year and in August.
