Decatur Graffiti Artist Who Tagged in Kirkwood Arrested

Nineteen-year-old man tagged the moniker "FORTE" more than 35 times over the last two years in several neighborhoods including the Old Fourth Ward.

A Decatur tagger with more than 35 documented uses of his moniker, including those found in the Old Fourth Ward and Kirkwood neighborhoods, was recently arrested by the Atlanta Police Department’s Graffiti Abatement office.

 

Oliver Roberts, 19, was taken into custody last week on charges of criminal damage to property 2nd degree, and three counts of criminal trespassing.

Roberts was tagging the moniker “FORTE” and officers had documented its use 36 times. According to the police, Roberts has been actively tagging for at least two years and predominately tagged in the Castleberry, Old Fourth Ward and Kirkwood neighborhoods. 

Roberts was taken into custody at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on Sept 3 and transferred to the Fulton County Jail the next day. He was released on Sept. 7 on an $11,000 pretrial release signature bond.
