CRIME ALERT: White or Silver-Colored Sedan Might be Linked to Break-Ins
Call 911 if you see anything that seems out of place or unusual to you.
WOODLAND HILLS — In recent days, homeowners is several Southeast Atlanta neighborhoods have reported break-ins or attempted break-ins to their homes.
The most recent incident occurred Sept. 6 in the 1000 block of Woodland Avenue SE.
The burglars broke in while the residents were home according to an alert about to the incident to area residents.
Atlanta Police Department Zone 6 Major Timothy Peek told East Atlanta Patch investigators are aware of the recent incidents and have been following leads.
Separately, Decatur police issued an alert following a Sept. 6 break-in on Park Drive for a newer model, silver Mercedes-Benz displaying a drive-out tag.
According to a witness in that incident reported seeing four male suspects kick in the door of the burglarized residence.
Decatur Police Sgt. Jennifer S. Ross told Patch there may be a connection between the crimes but it's unclear at this point.
Ron Lall, Neighborhood Planning Unit-W's public safety chairman, issued this alert on Sept. 6 following the Woodland Hill incident:
Report of a burglary this morning in Woodland Hills. There were reports of a silver or white sedan involved in a different incident in Boulevard Heights in recent days, and a silver or white sedan cruising again this morning.
Please watch for any suspicious vehicle activity such as slow driving, cars pulling up to mailboxes to check contents, cars backing into driveways that are not normally in that driveway.
Call 911 if you see anything that seems out of place or unusual to you. Pay particular attention to vehicles with multiple occupants, exhibiting any of the behavior described above and call 911 immediately with a description of the vehicle and occupants.
