One victim was struck in the head when he resisted gunman.

Atlanta police are looking for two gunmen who robbed a couple at 1:00 a.m. April 16 as they walked down McLendon Ave. in Candler Park.

The victims told police they were near the Sterling Street intersection when two men, armed with a gun, pounced on them, demanding their belongings.

The gunmen wore bandannas and hoods to cover their faces.

One of the victims resisted, police said, and the gunman hit him in the back of the head with the gun, resulting in a laceration.

The gunmen fled, taking the victims' two mobile phones and a backpack.

Curtis Davenport, an Atlanta Police Department spokesman, told East Atlanta Patch that sketches of the two suspects were not immediately available.

Anyone with information is urged to call 911 or Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404.577.TIPS (8477).
