Attempted Robbery at EAV Suntrust

Confused would-be robber gave teller note that read: "Give me yo money $500," then left when teller asked him to fill out withdrawal slip.

Police are looking for the man who tried to rob the East Atlanta Thursday afternoon.

Tellers told investigators the man entered the bank before 2:30 p.m. on July 12, approached one of them, and gave her a note that read: "Give me yo money $500."

The teller asked him to complete a withdrawal slip if he needed to withdraw money, according to the police report.

The man replied "money."

The teller then asked him if he was confused and he nodded yes while repeating "money."

He went to the stand where the withdrawal slips are, took one and left the bank — taking his note with him.

The man is described as being dark-skinned, black, in his late 40s and between 5'10" and 6" in height.

He was last seen walking down Glenwood Avenue wearing mirrored sunglasses, a black baseball cap, a turquoise t-shirt, dark jean shorts, black sneakers, and white tube socks.

This all could have been avoided if he had added "please."

Even better if one says it en français: "s'il vous plait."

I would hope that SunTrust will give a nice bonus to this alert and quick-thinking teller, who averted a cash loss for the bank. The would-be robber sounds like a product of our Atlanta Public Schools, what with his lack of properly written English skills.

Lol... Yeah more than likely. I'm thinking about moving out of the city. There's just too much crime going on. I'm thinking Kennesaw where everybody has to carry. You don't hear about crime up there.

Moving out is not a solution!!!! One thing I like in Europe is that when the citizens don't agree with something, they go out and protest. In the US, they just simply move out, when they should be mobilizing and creating solutions!!!!

East Atlanta citizens are too much against the police and too much "we are the world" type of people. A perfect combination for crooks. One of my neighbors was feeding a homeless guy in the area trying to be nice or what not. That very same guy was breaking into folk's cars :( That very same "we are the world" air headed chick standing around wondering why she'd gotten knocked up side her head and purse taken. Dumb chick... Wake up!

I've lived in EAV for 11 years and I've never found my neighbors to be against the police, Sheep Dog. As for the woman who was mugged, that is terrible. I've been mugged myself so I know how she feels. But I'm glad to have compassionate neighbors who care for the least among us as opposed to taking a "Lord of the Flies" approach to life.

Sheep Dog is mobilizing to Kennesaw where they have created a solution there.

I have a solution... This is a serious issue that the government has failed to tackle. A birth control policy. Everybody should not be able to have kids!!!!! For instance... If you're on welfare, you should NOT be able to give birth to any children until you are off of welfare. Secondly, if you are on drugs, you should NOT be able to give birth to children. Furthermore, if you are a habitual violator of the law, you should NOT be able to give birth to children. But I mean hey... We're so "ethical" in the US, this reasonable solution would only be of satan right?... :( Give me a break. I think that a reasonable birth control policy could be beneficial to all Americans. Talk about cutting down on crime... Most violators are products of these very same circumstances. Why am I walking around the streets of Atlanta seeing pregnant drug attics?!... I would like to know what doctor assisted them on giving birth to that child so that I could strangle their neck. I mean really!... Does this sound unreasonable or unfair?! Think about it! There should be a national birth control policy. No doctors should not be giving assistance to drug attics nor welfare recipients in regards to giving birth to a child.

Either Sheep Dog is trolling or actually supports putting the government in charge of our genitals. What a boner killer!
Sheep Dog July 16, 2012 at 10:29 AM
Not tolling at all. It's just that I feel we can alleviate a lot of this bull by implementing a birth control policy. I mean really... It is a reasonable question. Why should welfare recipients and drug addicts be able to have kids? I bet millions of people feel that way. At the end of the day, we the tax paing citizens are having to flip the bill! We're paying their rent and food. On top of that, their illegitimate kids are fn robbing and killing us for more of what we guve them! Think about it! Am I being that unreasonable?...

Sheep Dog - It would make more sense to implicate your idea by casturating males or forced vasectomies. In your scenario, men would make more sense to sterilize then women. Let's start with you....
Sheep Dog July 16, 2012 at 08:23 PM
@Tiredofyourself... You must be one of those welfare recipients or drug addicts... If so, I along with the rest of this country has long been tired of you and the rest of the blood sucking leeches out there that are abusing our hard earned money. Ha!

Well, this thread has gone way off topic so, I'm closing it to further commenting. In general, we can have healthy debate and exchange of ideas, even those a wee extreme, but name calling and personal attacks aren't acceptable.
