Attempted Robbery at EAV Suntrust

Confused would-be robber gave teller note that read: "Give me yo money $500," then left when teller asked him to fill out withdrawal slip.

Police are looking for the man who tried to rob the East Atlanta Thursday afternoon.

Tellers told investigators the man entered the bank before 2:30 p.m. on July 12, approached one of them, and gave her a note that read: "Give me yo money $500."

The teller asked him to complete a withdrawal slip if he needed to withdraw money, according to the police report.

The man replied "money."

The teller then asked him if he was confused and he nodded yes while repeating "money."

He went to the stand where the withdrawal slips are, took one and left the bank — taking his note with him.

The man is described as being dark-skinned, black, in his late 40s and between 5'10" and 6" in height.

He was last seen walking down Glenwood Avenue wearing mirrored sunglasses, a black baseball cap, a turquoise t-shirt, dark jean shorts, black sneakers, and white tube socks.
