Atlanta Police Warn of Telephone Scam

Con artists try to get bank account info with promise of UPS delivering money to your door.

The Atlanta Police Department's Zone 3 Precinct issued the following warning regarding a telephone scam:

Police have received information from an elderly citizen that subjects had called her home twice-once saying she had won some money and another time that her daughter had won some money.

They ask for bank account information and if you don't have an account they tell them to go to the nearest Walmart and get a green card. Then they will have UPS deliver money to your door.
