Atlanta Police Seek Help to Identify Waffle House Robbers

East Lake location was eighth DeKalb County Waffle House to be robbed at gunpoint within a week.

Atlanta police are seeking the public's help in identifying these two men wanted in connection with an Oct. 21 armed robbery of the East Lake Waffle House.

According to witness accounts, two black males, wearing masks entered the restaurant at 2914 Memorial
Drive SE and robbed the restaurant at gunpoint.

There were no customers in the restaurant at the time of the robbery. The gunman told a female employee to empty the cash register then held the gun to her face as he told the other three employees to empty their pockets.

The two robbers then fled with the money in a gray 1994 Honda Civic with a Virginia license plate No. KFE1254. That car had been reported stolen out of DeKalb County.

The gunman was last seen wearing a black tee-shirt, blue jeans, a blue and white bandanna across his face and white gloves. He also has a tattoo of a capital "A" with writing surrounding it on his right arm.

His accomplice was last seen wearing a bright orange jacket with blue jeans, a glove on his right hand and a mask and skullcap covering his face.

The suspect vehicle was last seen traveling north on Candler Road SE toward Decatur.

The Waffle House division manager told police the incident marked the eighth time that week that one of the chain's DeKalb County stores had been robbed at gunpoint.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404.577.TIPS (8477). Information may be submitted anonymously and you could be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
