Atlanta Police Nab Three In Little Five Laptop Theft

Victim had laptop stolen from Moreland Avenue Starbucks

Atlanta police arrersted three men Tuesday following a snatch and grab of a computer laptop from the Starbucks in Little Five Points.

Police did not release the names of the suspected thieves, citing they continue to investigate to see if they're connected to other laptop thefts.

But all three were charged with felony theft by taking.

The vicitm said one of the men ran into the Starbucks, grabbed the laptop from the table and ran to a waiting car.

A witness reported seeing a second man, whom police said acted as a lookout, run to the same vehicle.

After a short patrol of the area, police spotted the vehicle with the victim and witness identifying the men as the suspects in the theft.

Police said people ld be aware of their surroundings as there has been an uptick in laptop and mobile phone thefts in coffeeshops and other places with Wi-Fi.
