Atlanta Police Investigating Bouldercrest Drive Home Invasion

Victims fight armed intruder who fires two shots before stealing items, escaping.

Atlanta Police are searching for an armed gunman who entered a Bouldercrest Drive home in the early hours Tuesday, robbed the residents and then shot at them as they fought back.

The victims, who were not injured, gave Atlanta Police Department officials this account:

The victims, who live in the 1200 block of Bouldercrest, were sitting in the living room of their home, when the gunman opened the front door of the house — which was unlocked — and came in.

The gunman, described as black and wearing a black hoodie, ordered them to give him their possessions.

But the victims rushed the gunman and he fired a single round inside the home.

The victims managed to push him outside their home but he fired the weapon a second time and came back inside the house.

He managed to steal a wallet and a mobile phone from a bookshelf before fleeing the home and running down the street.
