Apartment Units Destroyed in Southeast Atlanta Fire

Firefighters spent hours battling a blaze that either damaged or destroyed 24 units on Constitution Road.

Several apartment units were destroyed in a fire that broke out on Sunday in southeast Atlanta.

According to WSBTV, 24 units were either damaged or destroyed in a fire at the Constitution Hill Apartments on Constitution Road, which sits off Moreland Avenue.

Firefighters spent hours fighting the blaze, which they had trouble containing due to an issue with the water line supply and brisk winds that blew the fire into the direction of other surrounding buildings.

The news station reports there were no injures, but one pet did not survive the blaze.
