Christian Enterkin Calls 'Foul' on Natalyn Archibong and Atlanta Progressive News on Cell Towers

Atlanta, October 28, 2013:  “When I decided to run for Atlanta City Council District 5 against a long-time, entrenched incumbent, I knew I had my work cut out for me.  I was advised that Atlanta politics can be rough and tumble – despite that, I knew in my heart that our community deserved a more proactive and responsive Council Member.   As my campaign has progressed, we are now being attacked by paid operatives of Natalyn Archibong.

A blog that goes by Atlanta Progressive News has been running negative, unsubstantiated stories about my campaign and the company I work for. The blog’s creator, Matthew Charles Cardinale, is a fanatical supporter of Natalyn Archibong.  He has misused his blog to make baseless attacks on my character.   APN endorsed Natalyn Archibong before qualifying began and before I entered the race.  He has never had a conversation with me or interviewed with me to be considered for an endorsement.  As a matter of fact, I have never met Matthew Cardinale.

Mr. Cardinale has stated in his own blog that his top priority would be getting Archibong re-elected.  With this level of support, voters of District 5 cannot expect impartial coverage, nor trust statements made by Mathew Cardinale – aka Atlanta Progressive News.

FACTS

Now, here are the facts:  I am proud to serve as the Vice President of Acquisitions for Landmark Dividend.  My campaign has not received any contributions from cell tower or billboard special interest groups.  Natalyn Archibong – an attorney – should advise her supporters to get the facts before blogging.  Fact:  I have never received a contribution from Dan Halpern, as stated in his blog.  Clearly, Matthew Cardinale is not legitimate journalist.  If so, he would have researched and realized Halpern Properties is owned by Jack Halpern, who is of no relation to Dan Halpern.  Additionally, Halpern Properties is a management firm based out of Doraville – not the City of Atlanta, and is not an airport concessionaire.  Thus, his reporting on this simple issue was blatantly dishonest and intentionally misleading.  Furthermore, Mr. Cardinale fails to report that Natalyn Archibong’s campaign has raised tens of thousands of dollars from airport concessionaires, special interest groups, and developers – including a contribution from the owners of Edgewood Court Apartments, which is a crime-ridden complex that our district has been trying to improve for years.

Even more ridiculous is his attempt to try and link my employment with Landmark Dividend to proposed cell tower legislation and cancer in infants, which is exceptionally dishonest and irresponsible.  Sadly and ironically, it is public knowledge throughout our community that my father – whom I adore – is currently battling cancer.

I ask Natalyn Archibong and Matthew Cardinale to cease and desist this type of divisive and cruel politics.  I feel it is also fair to mention that Atlanta Progressive News also solicits candidates to advertise on his website.  I have not paid for any advertisement on his site – Archibong has.  I ask the voters of District 5 to have caution when it comes to an individual or organization claiming to be legitimate press.”
