Meskerem Ethiopian Restaurant located at 2329 Cheshire Bridge Road NE serves great traditional Ethiopian food. Last week, A few friends and I used a 50% off Scout Mob discount to try a few exotic dishes.
Ethiopian cuisine generally includes meat dishes and spicy veggies served with injera – sour dough flat bread made from fermented teff flour. Everything is eaten with the hands (it’s custom to eat only with your right hand – merp – found out too late) by using injera as a kind of mini taco to house yummy protein.
Our dishes included:

Lamb Tibs – Sautéed cuts of mean, blended with vegetables served with HOT green chili sauce. My favorite of the night.
Kitfo – Raw or rare (we we’re too timid to go raw) ground beef marinated in mitma, a very spicy chili powder. Striking and tangy.

Prime Rib -- Grilled cuts of beef rib serve with an earthy dipping sauce. A bit overdone; would have been better if wasn’t cooked as long.
They also have a cool traditional coffee ceremony I wish we could have tried. Check out the demonstration video of a ceremony! (video not from Meskerem)
