Watch 3 breaths. Stretch your arms up overhead and feel the length on the sides of your waist. Take the arms up and down 3 times with your breath. Inhale up, exhale down. Inhale up and stretch for a few breaths. Exhale down.
In less than a minute you just did something to take care of yourself. Great job! It doesn't take much for us to bring mindfulness into our daily living. But it does require that we stop and do.
Our bodies are meant to move. Mindfulness with our actions is called "meditation in action" and with it we create feelings of wellness no matter what is coming our way.
In general, the more we move the better we feel. The physical body is the easiest way to bring the mind to the present moment. And its free!
