This event at Parkside Elementary is open to everyone and a great way to learn about school gardening

GRANT PARK — Parkside Elementary School is holding a 'Farm to School' workshop on Saturday, March 9th that's open to anyone interested in learning more about how to build and maintain a healthy garden.

School gardens have become more an more popular in recent years, as a way of educating children about healthy living and how to make healthy food choices.

First Lady Michelle Obama visited Burgess-Peterson Academy in East Atlanta in 2011 to highlight healthy eating and view the students' school garden.
