Presented by ING

What: A world apart between Atlanta and children in developing countries, it’s hard to imagine what these children face on a daily basis.  On Sunday, April 27, 2014, event Chairs Rebecca Gupta and Alexandra Walter, along with Founding Chair and UNICEF Ambassador Vern Yip of HGTV, will host the fourth annual UNICEF Experience, an interactive, family-friendly fundraising event that enables guests to experience what vulnerable children in developing countries face just to survive.

At this year’s UNICEF Experience, the U.S. Fund for UNICEF will fill the Foundry at Puritan Mill with a series of interactive exhibits that will allow guests to learn about UNICEF’s lifesaving work worldwide and have the opportunity to make a difference.  The exhibits will showcase UNICEF’s innovative programs in water and sanitation, emergencies, education, health and nutrition through photos and inspiring stories.  Proceeds from the event support UNICEF’s work for children in more than 190 countries and territories.

• Water Walk – Guests will carry weighted cans simulating the journey many girls in the developing world make every day to collect clean water for their families.

• Inspired Gifts – Guests will be able to see and purchase actual items used during humanitarian disasters such as life-saving therapeutic food, water purification tablets, School in-a-Box kits, an emergency tent, and more.

Heavy hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served.  Parents are encouraged to bring their children.
