Southern Barter Club's Year End Extravaganza

The Southern Barter Club (SBC) will host a year end extravaganza at the elegant 200 Peachtree in downtown Atlanta on December 4th from 6:30 to midnight.  Showcasing the business services of the 700 SBC members, the event will give current members and prospective ones a chance to network and shop for holiday gifts.

Highlighting the event will be performances of Soul band Heat Wave from the 1970’s; Hip Hop artist Gymini; Pat Sallarulo singing the songs of Frank Sinatra; and Ashton Jones, American Idol finalist. Marilyn Monroe impersonator Lori O'Brien will also appear.

In addition, there will be a fashion show with designers’ garments and other gift choices available for purchase on trade, as well as a carnival themed hall with fun activities.

About Southern Barter Club—In its fifth year in Georgia:

Barter or trade is a smart and powerful business tool that represents a solution for companies with available inventory, resources or services. By accepting payment in “trade dollars” instead of cash, a business maximizes their efficiency by increasing inventory turnover or billable hours. Using the trade dollars earned, they can purchase needed goods or services without paying cash. One “trade dollar” is equivalent to one cash dollar. The seller does not necessarily have to trade with the member they had their transaction with.  They are free to spend their earned trade dollars on whatever they want or need from thousands of businesses within the worldwide  network.  This model of round robin trading, eliminates the challenge of finding a trading partner interested in the specific goods/services offered.

An SBC Trade Consultant works with each business to bring them new sales and increased market share, to move available inventory and to minimize cash outlay for everyday business expenses they would have spend cash on or done without.  These sales are at your everyday full retail rate, not at a discount. Members in the barter network use trade dollars, instead of cash, to handle their transactions. Southern Barter Club provides businesses with an alternate business community and parallel economy using a global trade currency.
