PIKE NURSERIES TO GIVE AWAY 1 MILLION LADYBUGS DURING BUZZWORTHY WEEKEND EVENT APRIL 26-27

April showers bring more than May flowers! Just as landscapes are springing back to life, many seasonal bugs are returning as well. Instead of trying to rid gardens of these creepy-crawlies, there are actually many beneficial bugs that help keep plants healthy and strong. In honor of one of the most beloved of these bugs, Pike Nurseries is hosting a Ladybug Weekend on Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April27 at all store locations. During this buzzworthy event, Pike Nurseries will give away 1 million ladybugs (one free packet per family) to help homeowners maintain a healthy, happy garden this spring.

As a popular form of organic pest control, these little ladybugs do wonders for the garden since they prey on damaging pests like aphids, thrips and spider mites. Families can learn about ladybugs and how to attract other beneficial bugs, including praying mantis, hoverflies and more, during a FREE informational customer class on Saturday, April 26 at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. at all Pike Nurseries locations. Children can also enjoy fun ladybug coloring sheets. Whether guests are green thumb gurus or just getting started, the experts at Pike Nurseries will be on hand to give gardeners of all levels some ladybug luck!
