Meet the Holidays: Holi at The Children's Museum

Saturday, March 8 at 12:00 p.m. & 3:00 p.m.;

Sunday, March 9 at 3:00 p.m.

Join the Imaginators in celebrating the Hindu festival of Holi, which signals the end of winter and the coming of spring.  It is called the Festival of Colors because bright colors symbolize energy, life and joy. Holi begins with the lighting of bonfires. The ashes of the fires are marked on the forehead to bring good luck in the year ahead. Listen to the story Holi (Amma, Tell Me About) by Bhakti Mathur and then make bright colored flame pictures symbolizing the lighting of the bonfires.
