About Senator Crane:


Senator Mike Crane was elected to the state Senate in

December of 2011. Senator Crane represents the 28th District, which

includes Coweta and Heard counties and portions of Carroll, Fulton and

Troup counties.





Senator Crane previously has served on the Banking, Finance,

Economic Development and Education committees.  He currently is a

member of the Retirement, Special Judiciary, State and Local

Governmental Operations, and State Institutions and Property Committees.





After graduating from Stone Mountain High School, Senator

Crane attended Georgia Tech where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in

Industrial Management in 1987.





He manages his general contracting firm that has been

operating since 2001. During his construction career, he has worked on

or built some of Atlanta’s most recognizable landmarks, including: the

downtown Varsity, the CNN Center and Underground Atlanta. Senator Crane

is a licensed general contractor in Georgia and a licensed builder in

Florida.





He has been active with many local churches; teaching Sunday

school, serving on finance and building committees, working on mission

trips, participating in prison ministries, and supporting children's

home outreach programs. His family currently attends Forward Church in

Newnan.


Senator Crane and his wife of 25 years, Tracey, are blessed to have two children, Caitlin and Ethan.
