Shutze Awards Begins With “My Most Celebrated Room” Presented by Jonathan LaCrosse

ICAA Southeast Chapter welcomes you to kick off the Shutze Awards, named after architect Philip Trammell Shutze, with Jonathan LaCrosse as he discusses the design legacy of Philip Trammell Shutze. Coffee beings at 9:30 a.m. and lecture starts at 10:00 a.m. The morning presentation will highlight the interior architecture and decoration under the direction of the venerable Atlanta architecture firm of Hentz, Adler, and Shutze. This well-recognized firm was active in the first half of the twentieth century and collaborated with many interior decorating firms to produce exquisite interiors which can be found throughout Atlanta and regions of Georgia.

Lecturer Jonathan LaCrosse is a well-recognized Atlanta architect at D. Stanley Dixon. In 2009 he was selected as “10 under 40 honorees” by Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles. LaCrosse is a classical architecture enthusiast and regularly lectures on this admirable style. Following the morning discussion, the Shutze Awards will announce its 2012 winners at an awards ceremony at 6:00 p.m. held at The Piedmont Driving Club.
