Postpartum Fitness
(Class)

Postpartum fitness classes are great for moms who have given birth and want to strengthen and tone their muscles most affected by pregnancy. Classes consist of a low impact aerobic warm up, followed by upper and lower body conditioning exercises to tone and strengthen muscles. It also includes yoga exercises to promote good posture and strengthen your core stability (the abdominal and back area). The class ends with a relaxing stretch. Classes are upbeat, accompanied by great music and a steady pace. This class brings fun and pleasure to both parent and baby. Bring your little one along for some parent-baby bonding.

Begin as early as 8 weeks post labor. Must bring a doctors consent to first class.

Instructor: Charlotte "Yaa" Pierce offers students the opportunity to explore a deeper connection between healing, strengthening and nurturing their bodies. Yaa is a lifelong fitness enthusiast, practicing yoga since 2007 and teaching Pre/Post Natal classes since 2010. She is a Vegan Chef, Herbalist, Nationally Certified Personal Trainer, Nationally Certified Pre/Post Natal Exercise Specialist, CPR and First-Aid certified. Her classes emphasize breath control, creating a balance of effort, ease and healthy alignment.

We spotted her last night (Thursday) just before the storm hit and chased her down May to CliftonRead More then up to Glenwood, where we think she turned into that development under construction across from the school. The storm swept in, and we lost her ... she was clearly panicked. Been back on the hunt this morning with no sign. Please call or text us at 423-653-5636 if you spot her!!!

This is a sales pitch, and not a very good one. This development is well over 2 miles from GrantRead More Park; even the map on the developer's site doesn't correctly show where the subdivision is. And where it is, is across Glenwood from Burgess-Peterson ES, where Glenwood is 4 lanes- good luck ever making a left out of there. But if you want to be able to hear I-20, I guess it's a great location.
