BronzeLens presents Vanishing Pearls, a film by Nailah Jefferson

Come join us for an evening of film sure to broaden your view of the Deepwater Horizon oil  spill. Nailah Jefferson's VANISHING PEARLS chronicles the untold story of personal and professional devastation following the 2010 oil spill in Pointe a la Hache, a close-knit fishing village on the Gulf coast.   The filmmaker delves into the worst environmental disaster in American history just as news cameras leave the scene of the crime. While 49 Million barrels of oil settle in the once vibrant coastal waters, a generations-old community of African-American fishermen pledge to fight for justice, accountability and their way of life.BronzeLens has the honor of presenting VANISHING PEARLS our first AFFRM film of the year and official selection of 2014 Slamdance Film Festival.  It will screen at Atlanta’s Morehouse College on Saturday, April 26   at 7:30 - 9:30 pm  in the Shirley A. Massey Executive Conference Center, Bank of America Auditorium. Tickets are just $10 general admission, FREE for college students with current/valid 2014 ID.
