Atlanta Cyclorama Hosts A Discussion With Author Dolen Perkins-Valdez

You are invited to a free lecture and Q&A with Wench author Dolen Perkins-Valdez on Thurs, March 13 at 7 pm at the Atlanta Cyclorama.

When the Civil War began, the country wasn't the only thing being torn apart. Families - husbands and wives; brothers and sisters; mothers and fathers and chlidren; and friends were being ripped one from the other. War casualties would make many of those separations permanent. After the war, loved ones began the long, difficult process of finding those from whom thy had been separated. Wench author Dolen Perkins-Valdez's new research focuses on the people, and women in particular, who survived the war, and their efforts to reestablish the ties of love that bound them. Join her for an engaging evening of dialogue as she talks about the only thing that always survives: love.
