What You Need to Know for Election Day

A quick look at what you need to know for Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 5 in the City of Atlanta, plus what you'll see on the ballot.

By Patch Staff

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 5 and if you're a little fuzzy on the details, Patch is here to help.

Polls in Fulton County will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.

At that time, registered voters within the City of Atlanta will vote to fill the offices of:

  • Mayor
  • City Council President
  • City Council Members (15)
  • Board of Education Members (9)
  • Municipal Court Judges (7)

A Municipal General Run-off Election will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2013, if the race for any particular seat(s) results in no single candidate receiving at least 50% plus one (1) vote. Should a run-off election be necessary, the two candidates receiving the greatest number of votes for each particular office will compete in the Run-off Election.
