The Week Ahead in East Atlanta

You can attend the Easter Art Hunt, join a group of craft-and-art-loving moms, learn about college funding, enter a photo contest and hear stories.

1. Easter Art Hunt. The Atlanta Fringe Festival says that "like so many Easter eggs, pieces of art will be hidden and free to whoever finds them." This family-friendly event starts at 2 p.m. Saturday at Grant Park, 800 Cherokee Ave. SE. Free.

2. MAMA Art Collective. This group of crafty women with young kids has found a place to "create, explore DIY design and craft and kickstart creative businesses." They meet at 9:30 a.m. Mondays at Martha Brown United Methodist Church at 468 Moreland Ave. SE. Prices start at $25 per month plus one childcare shift.

3. College funding seminar. Starts at 7 p.m. Tuesday at 1401 Peachtree St NE, Atlanta. Free.

4. Photo contest. EarthShare of Georgia is sponsoring its first “Take only pictures, leave only footprints” photo contest. The deadline to submit is April 1.

5. Morning storytime. Starts at 11 a.m. Thursday at Barnes & Noble Booksellers at 1217 Caroline St. NE. Free.
