The Week Ahead in East Atlanta
There's a photo exhibit at the Sound Table, an improv competition at Dad's Garage, artwork at Inman Perk and a gospel extravaganza at Turner Monumental A.M.E. Church.

No school Monday. It's President's Day, so the Atlant Public, DeKalb and Fulton County school systems are not holding classes.
DJ photo exhibit. The Sound Table will unveil a one-night photo exhibit titled "Ministers Of Sound" that will examine the role of the dj and the parallels with the minister/spiritual leader. Starts at 5 p.m. Sunday. Free.

Improv competition. Dad's Garage Theatre Company's longest running improv show, TheatreSports, features two teams and a host that runs about an hour and a half with a fifteen minute intermission. Starts at 10:30 p.m. Saturday. $15.
Art exhibit at Inman Perk. "Interconnection," the artwork of Akilah Sade Passmore, will be shown through April 8 at the coffee shop at 240 N. Highland Ave. NE. The artist will give a talk 7-8 p.m. March 13. Free.

Gospel extravaganza. Turner Monumental A.M.E. Church at 66 Howard St. NE invites the public to hear several state, local and community choirs, soloists, and dance ministries, along with the music ministry of TMC. 3 p.m. Sunday. Free
