Knitting/crafting circle. Sit down get your fingers busy at 7 p.m. every Tuesday at  HodgePodge Coffeehouse and Gallery, 720 Moreland Ave. SE. Free.

The Waffle Palace: Smothered, Covered and Scattered 24/7/365. The run has been extended for this play based on the Southern culinary icon, Waffle House. 8 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at the Horizon Theatre Company, 1083 Austin Ave. NE. $20 tickets.

A church history. Learn about Atlanta's first African-American Catholic Church in this exhibit, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and School: A Journey of Faith, Spirituality and Social Justice. Free daily at the Auburn Avenue Research Library on African American Culture and History, 101 Auburn Ave. NE.

The Starlight Drive-In Flea Market. You can always find something worth buying at this flea market, held every Saturday and Sunday at the drive-in at 2000 Moreland Ave. SE. Free admission.
