Santa Claus to Raise Money For Grant Park, Virginia-Highland Fire Stations

Old St. Nick will be at Doc Chey's in Grant Park and Osteria in Virginia-Highland in early December.

Guests are invited to get in the Christmas spirit at the 10th Annual Breakfast with Santa at Doc Chey’s and Osteria 832 in December.

The big man himself will visit Osteria 832 in Virginia-Highland on Saturday, Dec. 1 and Doc Chey’s in Grant Park on Saturday, Dec. 8.

Breakfast with Santa will include pancakes, eggs and chicken sausage.

The kids, of course, will be able to deliver their Christmas wish lists in person.

Tickets are $20 per person for all ages, include breakfast and the Santa meet-and-greet.

All proceeds will benefit Grant Park Fire Station 10 on Boulevard and Virginia-Highland Fire Station 19 on North Highland Avenue.

The money raised will be used to repair and renovate stations for the comfort of Atlanta's Bravest. Since its conception in 2003, Breakfast with Santa has raised more than $50,000 for area fire stations and Doc Chey’s owner Rich Chey was awarded the prestigious Distinguished Service Award at the GRACE Awards in 2011.

The family-friendly event kicks off with Santa arriving on top of the fire truck with neighborhood firemen to greet all of the fans. After children indulge in their breakfast, they can sit on Santa’s lap and have their picture taken with Mr. Claus himself. A photographer will take complimentary digital photos, but parents are also encouraged to bring their own camera. In addition to meeting the big man himself, children will meet and mingle with local heroes from the area fire stations.

This year’s event is presented by Doc Chey's and Osteria 832, and sponsored by the Grant Park Parents Network, the Grant Park Neighborhood Association and the Virginia-Highland Morningside Parent Association.

If you go: Breakfast with Santa is Dec. 1 at Osteria 832 in Virginia-Highland and at Doc Chey's in Grant Park on Dec. 8.
