National Crime Victims Rights Week Lasts Through April 27

Several observances are planned, according to the Fulton county government website.

National Crime Victims Rights Week, lasts through April 27, and the Fulton county district attorney and solicitor general are participating in the effort.

 

According to Fulton County government, recognition of the week includes the following:

  • members of law enforcement displaying dark blue ribbons, which are the national symbol for crime victims' rights;
  • Wednesday, April 24, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m, a Crime Victims’ Rights Awareness Day at Clark Atlanta University, Georgia State University, Georgia Tech and Atlanta Metropolitan State College; and "Denim Day," sexual violence issues awareness campaign;
  • and a “Rally of Hope” on Friday, April 26, from 2–3 p.m. at the Lewis Slaton Courthouse, 136 Pryor Street. The public is invited.
