Inman Park Readies for a Transformation

Patch Pic of the Day

INMAN PARK — The fence is up and the businesses are out.

The $45 million dollar development at 280 Elizabeth St. is about to start.

The mixed-use development, bounded by Elizabeth Street, North Highland and Lake avenues and the Inman Park Village project, is projected to be complete by the third quarter of 2014.

So of the existing businesses - Victory's, for example - have found new homes. (Dad's Garage is staying until the end of the month to complete its season, before moving.)

Some who opposed the project, which is in the heart of Inman Park, said it will change the character of the neighborhood.

Supporters said some change is good and that the developers worked with the neighbors to achieve a consensus.
