  • BARNEY & FRIENDS BIRTHDAY BASH 

When/Where: Thursday at 10:30am, 2:00pm and 6:30pm at Philips Arena.

Why Go:  Hey Mr. Knickerbocker boppity bop...Barney is in town for one day in a brand new, interactive, live stage concert that promises to have your little Barney fans dancing in the aisles.  

Pricing:  $30.00-$45.00 or choose the Family 4 Pack which includes 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs and 4 bottled waters for $78.00.

When/Where: Thursday at 12:00pm in the Centennial Olympic Park Southern Company Amphitheater.

Why Go:  Pack some lunch and then head down to Centennial Olympic Park for some Spring sunshine and live music.  After you eat and enjoy the music, watch the Fountain of Rings and head over to the playground to complete the afternoon fun.

When/Where: Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Turner Field.

Why Go:  The Braves are taking on the Philadelphia Phillies for the Home Opener on Friday evening with a fireworks show to follow the game.  On Sunday, Braves alumni will sign autographs in the Fan Plaza before the game, and children under 14 years of age will be invited to run the bases after the game.  And don’t forget that the Braves Museum and Hall of Fame (at Aisle 134 with $2.00 admission) is open two and a half hours before each game - a  great way to celebrate the start of Baseball season with your littlest sluggers.

  • MOMMY & ME: BLACK & WHITE ANIMALS

When/Where: Saturday from 10:30am to 11:30am at .

Why Go: From Pandas to Zebras, you and your child (ages 2-3 years old) will take a guided walk, have an up-close encounter with an education animal, and have fun with discovery stations as you learn about the black and white animals at the zoo.  You must reserve your spot before the day of the event.  

Pricing:   $18.00 for Members for one adult/child pair; $24.00 for Non-Members for one adult/child pair.

  • OAKHURST COMMUNITY GARDEN PLANT SALE FESTIVAL

When/Where:  Saturday & Sunday from 9:00am to 4:00pm at the .

Why Go:  It will be worth the quick drive over to this terrific plant sale in Decatur’s Oakhurst neighborhood. While you will enjoy the garden related speaker sessions and the opportunity to purchase over 100 types of vegetables, herbs, fruit trees, perennials, native plants and succulents, your children will love visiting with the chickens and playing in Ox - the garden’s adobe playhouse.
