- Tour of Burgess-Peterson Academy: This elementary school which serves the East Atlanta area and hosted First Lady Michele Obama earlier this year is holding an open house for prospective families Wednesday, April 13, at 9 a.m. The school is at 480 Clifton St., just off Glenwood Ave., SE.
- is scheduled for Thursday, April 14, at 6:30 p.m. The school is at 1043 Memorial Dr., SE. PTSA also is meeting that day at at 1804 Bouldercrest Rd., SE.
- Cabbagetown Community Yard Sale is a fundraiser to benefit the Grant Park Cooperative Preschool and the Cabbagetown Initiative Community Development Corporation. Scheduled for Saturday, April 16, the multi-family sale will take place at the Cabbagetown Community Center, 177 Estoria St. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. In the event of rain, the yard sale will take place the following Saturday.
