Friday, May 27:

  • Get your funk on. The Earl — 488 Flat Shoals Ave. SE in East Atlanta Village — has the Atlanta All-Star Soul Revue show at 9 p.m. featuring Soulphonics & Ruby Velle, Atlanta Funk Society, Michelle Marshall and George Hughley. Tix are $12.
  • From an in-town farm to your dinner table. Truly Living Well, which operates The Wheat Street Garden in Sweet Auburn. This week there will be spinach, lettuce, carrots, turnip greens, beet greens, green onions, green garlic, arugula, chard, broccoli leaves and an assortment of herbs. Saturday, May 28:

  • Pomp is apropos given the circumstance. Tech High School, on Memorial Drive , hosts its graduation ceremony for the class of 2011 at 5 p.m. at 350 Ferst Dr NW, Atlanta, GA 30313 (Ferst Center for the Arts, Georgia Tech).
  • Let the beast out within. Zoo Atlanta’s fourth annual Brew at the Zoo is back! Enjoy sampling of award-winning brews; wine tastings; live music performances and more. Check out our for details and ticket info.

Monday, May 30:

  • Splish-splash. Atlanta City Councilwoman Carla Smith, whose district includes Grant Park, is hosting the annual Grant Park Pool Opening Day Party from 2:30 until 4:30 p.m. on the pool deck. The pool — at 625 Park Ave. — officially opens May 30. Come enjoy some games, free hot dogs and cool off from the heat, which is expected to reach 89 degrees. Normal pool fees will apply.
