Developer Closes on Gordon School Building

Paces Properties to move forward with $15 million project.

The Vinings-based developer who plans a $15 million redevelopment of the old has closed on the property, The Porch Press reported.

No timetabe for a start date was given, but the Press said the project is ready to move forward.

Paces Properties' plans call for razing the building at 1205 Metropolitan Ave. and replacing it with a three-story residential apartment building of 125 to 145 units.

As the Listing Broker I can verify that the closing has not happened, Yet! The moratorium has delayed the closing. The property is under contract and the developer wants to move forward but cannot build new construction until the moratorium is lifted. EAV notify City Council, let's keep this project on track.
