Nude shoes are awesome. Made to create the illusion of an elongated leg, a nude shoe can be worn in all seasons with almost any outfit in your wardrobe. But after a few years of being really frustrated by the lack of options in nude shoes for brown girls, I knew that I had to speak out about this ongoing problem. Everything I found was either frumpy or just not the right nude for my caramel skin tone.
Just when I was prepared to blog at length about this topic, I happened to come across an open ended question on my favorite beauty and fashion site, Refinery29 (refinery29.com): "What are you biggest fashion questions?" I immediately knew this was my opportunity to ask the question that brown girls all over the world wanted to know--where are all the nude shoes for us? Much to my pleasant surprise, my question was featured in their article "12 of Your Shopping Questions, Answered."
