East Atlanta Kids Club Youth Summit - Today!

I though I would post this event as I just got the information today. In addition, I'm excited to hear our Atlanta City Councilwoman Natalyn Archibong will be in attendance as well.

Recent events of violence in the East Atlanta community and the Trayvon Martin/Zimmerman verdict, has prompted East Atlanta Kids Club to respond by hosting a youth forum, where the youth can express themselves and seek guidance from policy makers, educators, parents, overseers of the law, youth workers and activist in their communities. The purpose of the summit is to listen to the youth's concerns and questions and inspire change where change is needed!
East Atlanta Kids Club would like to invite you or a member of your organization/council to be a panelist at our 1st  Annual Youth Summit on Friday, July 19, 2013, 11 am – 3 pm, at Brownwood Recreation Center in East Atlanta.

The Youth Panel Discussion topics are: social and criminal justice, civil rights, bullying, gangs, gun violence and healthy life choices. The panel discussion will be held from 12 pm-1:30 pm.
