ATLANTA NEIGHBORHOOD CHARTER SCHOOL KICKS OFF SPRING WITH ITS 3rd ANNUAL RUN WITH THE WOLVES 5K AND 1 MILE RUNS

Atlanta Neighborhood Charter School (ANCS) welcomes students, parents, neighbors and friends to join the pack at the third Run With the Wolves 5K and 1 Mile on Saturday, April 19. With a route jogging through the charming streets of Ormewood Park, Run With the Wolves offers a healthy way to kick off spring. The race has the added benefit of allowing runners to earn points toward the BeltLine Running Series Active Lifestyle Competition.

Organized by the ANCS PTCA and Health and Wellness Committee, the Run With the Wolves 5K and 1 Mile are open to the general public. The event includes a family-friendly 5K and a 1-mile run/walk, both beginning at the ANCS Middle Campus. All pre-registered participants for the 5K and 1 Mile receive a specially designed short-sleeve event shirt. All proceeds from the 5K and 1 Mile runs benefit the ANCS PTCA.

“We look forward to this opportunity to teach our students to embrace an active lifestyle,” said ANCS elementary physical exercise teacher and event coordinator Kerrie Hall. “The 5K and 1 Mile races are an exciting way to teach fitness outside the classroom and get the entire community involved in an important component of lifelong health.”
