Three Restaurants Ink Deals in 280 Elizabeth St. Project

INMAN PARK — Three restaurants, including one headed by Ford Fry, will open in the 280 Elizabeth St. project, currently under construction.

The owners of the $45 million project, 280 Inman LLC, said it has leases with Fry, as well MF Sushi and Barteca Restuant Group.

In addition, 280 Inman LLC, which now expects to complete construction in the first quarter of 2015, also signed a deal with clothing retailer Bill Hallman Inc.

“We are excited to launch our retail leasing efforts with these outstanding operators,” Jarel Portman, founder and principal of JPX Works LLC,  said in a statement.

The project is a joint effort of Portman,  South City Partner LLC and ELV Associates Inc.

“They reflect the quality of restaurants and shops this Inman Park location merits and the character of our overall retail vision.”

When complete the project will boast 200 apartments, 39,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space and a 570-space parking deck.

The as-yet unnamed Fry restaurant will be in a two-level freestanding building at the corner of Elizabeth Street and North Highland Avenue.

"I am super excited about Inman Park, as it is one of the coolest neighborhoods in Atlanta," Fry said.

The concept behind the Inman Park offering is to make it a "sister" eatery to Fry's Optimist restaurant on the city's westside.

Among the planned highlights are an extensive oyster bar, seafood and craft beers.
